From the 1990s, but brand new--unused. This village rug is from West Iran & is woven by the Bijar villagers. WOOL on cotton construction. Fabulous Bijar wool--will last forever.
Exact size: 5'1" X 3'3" Stated length includes two inch kilim on one end and one to two inches of fringe on each side. Approximately 225 KPSI, 1/2" thick pile, and with leather straps for better placement.The BIJAR center medallion design, colors and weave. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED! Very substantial--the right weave and wool for a hardworking beauty. However, this is not a rough, tribal rug. This collection of Bijars that we directly imported from Iran are finely woven, closely cropped and fine enough for the most formal settings. Could be used in a variety of places such as entry landings, bathrooms, high traffic carpeted areas, before sinks (cushions the legs!), etc. Function with beauty--the best of both worlds!
