Hand-knotted wool on wool, wool pile and wool fringes, tribal Belouch or Balouch rug from Afghanistan. Circa 1980s. Traditional Belouchi design showing motifs and symbols of tribal life such as vases, birds, tents, plants, flowers, animals, figures, etc.

COLORS: Delightful periwinkle blue, olive green, deep plum brown, tan, light brown, raspberry, persimmon, and more. Wonderful carpet for building a jewel toned space. Works with purple and gold, sapphire and ruby, garnet and emerald. Build yourself a niche for meditation and repose with just a few pillows, some candles, and this carpet as the foundation.
